Gun Lake Casino. 1123 129th Avenue Wayland, MI 49348 269.792.7777. Gun Lake Casino Games. Gun Lake Casino boasts a wide variety of games, such as Bonanza Bucks, Slots, Table Games, and a Poker Room. Locals and visitors alike particularly enjoy the Gun Lake Poker Room because tournaments are held weekly.

Glad they finally added a poker room to their casino. The staff is knowledgeable and work hard to make it go. The tables have all the bells and whistles including USB ports to charge your devices. The players chairs are comfortable and after six hours I was still good! There are side tables for your drinks and food but the above is wrong. You can NOT order food in the room but it’s a short walk to the Sandhill Cafe ( open 24/7) where they have it all coupled with a restroom on the way there make it OK. The rake is $5 along with a $1 comp/hr versus the $6 charity room rakes in Grand Rapids with no shufflers, cheap tables and hard cafeteria chairs a no brainer. Saw a lot of the GR players at the Gun. Now, to make it complete, tournaments will make it a go to room but with only 14 tables it will limited but OK. I will be going back!

While most of the country has sports betting and football on the mind, one Michigan casino is doubling down on poker.

Gun Lake Casino, part of the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Potawatomi Indians, announced the expansion of its gaming offerings with a brand new poker room back in May. Four months later, the poker room is a reality.

Sal Semola, president and chief operating officer for Gun Lake Casino, spoke of the new addition to MLive.com.

“This is a great new amenity that our guests have asked for. The Gun Lake Tribe has done a tremendous job listening to our guests and community to continue to pave the way for new offerings here at Gun Lake Casino.”

The Gun Lake Casino Poker Room

The casino did its due diligence before deciding to invest in poker for the casino. The Tribe performed “extensive research to determine market demands” to determine whether a new poker room was a viable and sustainable option.

The 3,500 square-foot Gun Lake Casino Poker Room houses 14 tables and opened to the public mid-Sept. The non-smoking room spreads most traditional forms of poker including Omaha and Texas hold’em. It offers both cash games and tournaments.

The poker room resides in the space formerly occupied by Johnny Rockets and Villa Pizza. The leases for both restaurants ended in December, making room for the new addition.

The new poker room is the opening act for a new 475,000-square-foot parking structure scheduled to open in October.
